- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 lb ground sirloin
- 2 Tbsp lower-sodium soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1.5 packed brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 2 wheat hamburger buns
- shredded cheddar

Heat oil in nonstick skillet over medium-high heat; saute onions 3 minutes or until tender. Add beef; cook 7 minutes or until browned; drain if necessary. Add remaining ingredients and cook for about 3 more minutes or until thickened. Spoon onto buns. Add cheese if desired. Makes 2 servings.
